December, 2008WHAT: Weaverville Christmas Parade and Candlelight StrollWHEN: Saturday, December 6, 2008 and Friday, December 12, 2008 American Cornerstone Homes supports the community through membership with the Weaverville Business Association.Not only do we want to help Buncombe County residents become home owners but we also want to work with the our local communities to remain economically strong and help serve the citizens of our fine communities.Saturday, December 6th - Weaverville Christmas ParadeThis is the first time the Weaverville Business Association has participated in the annual Weaverville Christmas Parade. At our last meeting on November 25th, it was announced that the Association would enter a float and asked for suggestions. American Cornerstone Homes suggested the float contain packages from each of the 60 business members all forming a Christmas tree. Then the fun began, how to make the thought a reality and also to make sure it would be safe and withstand the transportating to the parade holding area and the parade itself. So the fun began. Our General Contractor, Blair Long, started the thought process of how many boxes and how the would all be supported together and ..... well see for yourself:The Weaverville 2008 Christmas ParadeWe had walked the parade route and handed out candy and small stuff animals donated by one of the business association members. What a joy to hand out candy to the kids (both young and old) and handing out the stuffed animals to the little smiling faces....priceless! I guess Christmas Parades bring out the 'kid' in all of us, young or old!Merry Christmas to All!
